Bio: My name is Aisha Bourke. I have blonde hair, green eyes, and I am 5'5. I love being involved, playing sports, hanging out with friends, and just having fun. School is very important to me. I have been able to hold a 99.4 overall average in my high school career. I have been involved in many things throughout my high school career. I belong to various clubs and organizations such as; Family Career Community Leaders of America, Church Youth Group,4-H, President of Buffateers Drug Free Youth Group), Concert Band, Swing Choir, Jazz Choir, Color Guard captain, High Ability Learners Program, Nebraska Music Ambassador (European Tour), Relay for Life, National Honors Society, , and Nebraska Gold Volleyball Club through the University of Nebraska -Kearney(5 years). I play volleyball, basketball, track, and summer softball and recently became a certified Life Guard. I am a 2 year letter winner in all of my school sports and a starter on our varsity volleyball team my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. My leadership roles include student council, class officer, FCCLA officer, high school volleyball team captain, Junior Olympics volleyball team captain, kindergarten buddy mentor, 3rd grade mentor for music enhancement, and high school basketball team captain.I also volunteer at the Humane Society. I work hard to be the best in everything I do. My club volleyball team is amazing. Last year we made it to Nationals in Dallas and this year we got 5th at Regionals in KC. Our team got 1st place in nearly every tournament we played, which included several 18's tournaments. We don't keep stats in club, but my video represents typical play on my club team. (Much better than stats!) I love the setter position but also love the challenge of defense. I know that to volleyball coaches I am "5 foot nothin'" but I feel that has made me work harder as a player and I've become a well rounded player. This year, because of a lack of height on my high school team, I am an outside hitter and serve receive when in the front row and setter while in the back. Like I said...well rounded! I weight lift year round and I think it has helped me excel in my athletic endeavors . In club ball, I will be playing for Nebraska Gold with the 18-1's.
