Bio: Alexia has been growing up around basketball almost all of her life. She became interested in the sport after watching her father, Kelsey Weems, play all around the world. She began playing AAU basketball at the age of 8 in Moline, IL. Alexia has been to many skill camps hosted by WNBA teams such as for the Indiana Fever. During her middle school years (7th & 8th grade), Alexia was voted team captain both years. At the age of 14, Alexia moved to Charlotte, NC to get more competition to help make her a better player. Alexia attends Olympic High School and has been a starting varsity player since her freshman year. She was also a member of the 3A All-Conference Team her sophomore year. Alexia is going into her senior year with more heart, determination, and work ethic than ever. She is an all-around player that every coach could wish for. She is a leader, a very easy player to coach, and practices harder than she plays. Alexia hopes to recieve a D-1 scholarship and to make playing basketball her future career.
