Bio: Prince Jamaal Ashanti (#28) is a hybrid football player but has been primarily used as a Running Back. At 5'9" 165lbs all muscle, he has great stamina and exceptional endurance. Prince has a self-disciplined workout regiment which includes core training as advised by ex-light heavy weight boxing champion Billy "the kid" Lewis from the Roy Jones Jr boxing camp in Pensacola. He is strong, illusive and fast, with speed of 4.59 in the "40." He has just begun his senior year at Pensacola High School ( Escambia County; Pensacola, Florida). These highlights range over his freshman, sophomore, junior and just four games into his senior season at PHS. Prince has performed at the Nike Combine '09' in (Mobile, AL); National Underclassmen Combine in (Gulfshores, AL); and as a result was invited to the National Ultimate 100 Camp (Atlanta, GA), the most prestigious freshman, sophomore, and juniors camp in the USA which is exclusively covered by Rivals.com. He has received letters of interest from the following universities: Lehigh; Southeastern Louisiana; Sacred Heart; Middle Tennessee State; United States Merchant Marine Academy; Stony Brook; Iowa State; Ohio Dominican; Marist College; Bethany; Colgate; Charleston Southern; Old Dominion; Howard; and the University of Cincinnati. With letters still pouring in and one season of high school football left; Prince Ashanti will be an exciting prospect to watch representing the great tradition of Florida football for 2009-2010.
