English Honor Society - Junior Inductee; Math Honor Society - Junior Inductee; Chemistry Student of the year '08/'09; adopt-an-athlete (athlete mentor program with local elementary school); will be a three-year Varsity player. Captain of both Club team and HS Varsity team. HS: 2009 5A region I finalist; received 1st team 6-5A all-district honors as a setter and academic all-district honors. Team leadership award for 2008 and 2009 (voted on by my teammates). Club defensive player of the year as setter in 2008.
I live in Highland Village, TX with my parents, Maureen and Barry. I have one brother who is a freshman at The University of Texas. I have been playing volleyball for 6 years as a setter. I have played soccer, basketball, and ran track in school and club, but I have focused solely on volleyball for the past 4 1/2 years. I currently play for 900 Volleyball Club on the 17.1 team, and played beach volleyball for 692 (finished 2009 ranked in the top 10 in the 18's age group for the DFW region). I also play for Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX. I am very competitive and positive, both on and off the court. I am an active member in Student Council and Habitat for Humanity. I am a volunteer assistant coach for U12 team with a local volleyball club.
